SOLE Defined's The R.E.M.I.X. is an immersive percussive dance experience for students of all ages. The show intersects the elements of percussive dance; Rhythm, Energy, Musicality, Improvisation, and our X-factor with the principles of Hip Hop; peace, love, unity, SOLE Defined creates a safe space for students to explore becoming both dancers and musicians. The toe-tapping blend of styles is accompanied by a live D.J. spinning the sounds of the 90s', taking the audience on a rhythmic rollercoaster of music and history. The R.E.M.I.X. promotes positive self-expression, using percussive dance, tap, and body percussion, as a tool to educate, foster collaboration, and ignite creativity. This interactive assembly connects with post-performance workshops and residencies, teaching percussive dance art forms, their history, and their connections to math and literacy.
