For 24 consecutive years, Leslie has been performing The Spirit of Harriet Tubman touring across Canada (7 provinces), the US (10 states incl. Alaska and DC), and London, England. Her performance and the simplicity with which she recreates Harriet Tubman's life story from the age of six through her death in her early 90's on a barren stage with only trunk of costumes, are said to be a programmer's dream because of the curriculum connections and the affordability. More than once she has heard that it is "the best Harriet Tubman play out there".

The Spirit of Harriet Tubman makes an impact on audiences young and old through the story and the themes found within the production. The play inspires audiences to believe in their dreams, have the courage to go after them no matter what, keep the faith, and recognize their potential to change the world. Children of all ages have commented on how inspirational the play is and Leslie hopes to be able to inspire more young audiences, and old, with her play in the next few years.
